Bored With Your Look?

If your anything like myself then you probably easily get bored with your day to day look! I’m always wanting to change something wether its my hair color or style but it doesn’t always have to be a drastic change to give yourself a feeling of newness. Sometimes all it takes it a simple change with accessories and wa-la you have yourself a fresh new look for the day. You can wear your hair up and add a headband for a pop of color, straight, curly, combed forwards, backwards off the face, or hats and glasses. Don’t forget to switch out your jewelry it expresses personality and enhances your outfit and look! You can be subtle or be bold but sometimes its good to be daring! 🙂

Naked Urban Decay

This palette has been around for quite some time and I can’t live without it! It has beautiful pigmented shadows that pop and its perfect for traveling. The natural warm colors help create the perfect daytime/evening eye or a smokey eye. I like to apply my Nars primer to reassure long lasting wear so that I maximize my results and I haven’t been displeased yet! This is a definite go-to palette that every girl should own. 🙂

Rockstar Manicure

Yep, I got my first Rockstar Manicure today! It’s safe to say that I will be returning for more to achieve this glitz & glam look! I think everyone has heard of shellac polish, right? Well, they apply your shellac color of choice on your nails and then place glitter of your color choice into the wet shellac which creates this high sparkle effect. Then your nails dry and harden under the uv light and a second coat is applied so that you have a smooth nail vs. a bumpy nail like you feel with regular glitter polish. The beauty of this whole thing is that it last two weeks before its time for a new manicure! Well worth the money! Plus, you feel like a ROCKSTAR with your Rockstar Nails. Hope everyone parties like a ROCKSTAR tonight and has a HAPPY NEW YEAR! See you in 2013! 🙂

Plus, it has a double sided eye shadow brush and comes in a sleek soft case that makes it easy for travel. The colors are unique, highly pigmented, and easy to blend. The only problem that I see is Urban Decay keeps costing me tons of money because they keep making AWESOME palettes!

Peppermint Sugar Scrub

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! I’m looking forward to seeing what this approaching New Year has to bring in year 2013. For now I will enjoy whats left of 2012 and this homemade peppermint sugar scrub I made which makes a nice exfoliant. It also makes a nice gift for girlfriends and you could change the colors to fit your occasion (Baby showers, Birthdays, etc.) or any holiday (Valentines, Christmas, etc.).
Ingredients
2 Cups of Sugar
Red Food Color
Mason Jar
1/3 Cup of Light Olive Oil
1/8 Cup of Coconut Oil
1/4 tsp of Peppermint Essential Oil
Pour sugar in a bowl, add the olive oil, coconut oil, and peppermint oil. Mix well. In separate bowl I added more sugar and oil and red food color (until I reached my desired color). There is not an exact science or measurement when making your scrub. You can add as much oil of the sugar or oils as you like until you reach the desired texture and smell you like. Then pack into a mason jar tightly. I tied a ribbon around mine with a candy cane! 🙂

Holiday Nails

I’m getting a little carried away over here with Christmas around the corner (haha) but its my favorite time of the year! I couldn’t resist doing something festive to my nails! So, I used the OPI base coat “Don’t Touch My Tulip” and Red tips (instead of your typical white french manicure tips) with Butter London Polish “Chancer” which has a glitter. It creates a nice sparkle and finished with green stripes on the ring finger. FUN! 🙂
