Time To Make The Donuts

No, literally its time to make the donuts! 🙂 I know everyone loves a donut every now and again, right? I do! I had the craving this morning and made cinnamon & sugar donut holes. All you need is a can of biscuits (I keep extra in fridge because they come in handy) and pull them apart into three’s and role into balls. You could also make regular size donuts by placing a hole in the center of the biscuit. Heat your peanut oil on the stovetop until its nice and warm then reduce the heat to a medium-low or low. You may want to test a few before hand to make sure your oil is the right temperature before you toss them all in. You will continuously flip with your tongs until golden brown on all sides and cooked all the way through. Place the cooked donuts onto a plate covered with paper towels to absorb any extra oil and then toss in your cinnamon & sugar mixture. You will need 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1/4 cup of sugar to coat. Bam~you have donuts! Tasty little weekend treat 😉

Apple Chips

Sweet & crispy apple chips that are a great snack anytime! Healthy and Easy, you can’t go wrong! I always buy the bag apple chips and I figured I must be able to make these right here at home and I was right. Preheat the oven to 225 degrees and line with parchment paper or foil. Slice the apples super thin. If you have a mandolin slicer its really helpful in achieving the thin slices or you can use a sharp knife. Spread them out in a thin layer onto the baking sheet and sprinkle with splenda and cinnamon. Cook in the oven for 1 hour. Turn over and sprinkle again with splenda and cinnamon and cook for another hour our until browned. 🙂 The house smells like fall with the smell of the apple and cinnamon baking….Ahhhhhhh the little joys in life! Eat right away or store in a air tight container.

Marvis Toothpaste

Im a sucker for cool packaging and its one of the prettier tubes of toothpaste I’ve seen with a vintage style tube. The flavor is refreshing and it foams nicely in your mouth! I think it makes a nice decorative piece on the bathroom counter, way to pretty to hide in a drawer but most importantly your teeth feel clean and your breath smells kissable! I guess its not the cheapest tube of toothpaste compared to supermarket prices but I’m a fan at $11.50 a tube!
