Pumpkin Dip

A simple yet festive dip that you can whip up in under two minutes. It’s perfect for a holiday party or just to cure a sweet craving at home. Mix together a can of pumpkin puree, one tub of cool whip (I used sugar free), and one box of vanilla pudding (I used sugar free). Allow to chill in fridge for a few hours or over night. You can dip vanilla wafers, ginger snap cookies, fruit, or anything that sounds appealing. πŸ˜‰
I attached a photo on the side of the vanilla wafer box that shows them placing a nilla wafer in the bottom of a medium tin or paper muffin cup, filling it with yogurt (but I bet this pumpkin dip would be a good substitute, and freeze for an hour! Then you have a nilla pumpkin freeze!

Halloween Costumes

It’s that time of year again and it happens to be one of my favorite times of the year…October, Fall, & Halloween! Autumn brings lots of changes. The temperature drops, the leaves change colors, you get to wear layers, and sit by warm cozy fires. It’s also pumpkin carving time and time to make as many baked pumpkin desserts as you can think of… pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, pumpkin rolls, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies! PUMPKINS, PUMPKINS, and MORE PUMPKINS! πŸ™‚ Speaking of halloween I’m struggling trying to figure out what I should dress up as this year?! I posted a few previous costumes over the last couple of years when I was strawberry shortcake, a football girl, megan fox (from movie Jonah Hex), and a 80s Chick (rocking leg warmers and a side pony) but I would like to be more creative this year. Hmmm, what are you going to be?
NOTE: I think I fixed my dilemma and will be Lil Red Riding hood but I want to be creative…Any suggestions?

Remove Candle Wax

T.O.D.- (Tip of the Day) ..Holiday season is approaching and what’s the holiday’s without candles burning to create ambience and fabulous smells throughout the home?? I love burning mulling spices on the stove top during this time of the year, along with candles. It gives the home such a festive, cozy, warm feeling. I’m sure you will be entertaining guest for dinner and little ones possibly running about, so accidents are bound to occur. If you experience a spilt wax accident or if you have a candle that melts down onto your rug or table cloth, don’t panic! After, entertaining you can break out the iron and remove the wax. Take a hand towel and place over the wax and iron over the spot on a low heat. If the wax is not coming out then gradually turn the heat up until it comes out. Works like a charm. πŸ˜‰
