A few of my favorite things from this past week …Took a tour of Hammonds Candy Factory which has been in business since 1920 and they produce 4000 pounds of candy a day! Stopped by Four Seasons for some lunch (always amazing)! Ordered a fruit pie from Gateaux Bakery and had a nice relaxing massage!
Its a New Year so time for New Adventures!

A few of my favorite things from this past week …..
Took a drive to look at Christmas lights in Cherry Hills. Snow storm driving to Vail, Colorado (you can’t see the skiers coming down the mountain). Big Moose wanted a kiss :). Pretty centerpiece at the Four Seasons in Vail. Cup of expresso to go with my Reindeer pop.

A Few Of My Favorite Things …

Hi Everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! 🙂
I’m pleasantly stuffed from mine. I dined at one of my favorite breakfast joints called “Snooze”! I think the name is adorable but the food is RIDICULOUSLY DELICIOUS! It’s a cute restaurant with a 70s theme and tons of atmosphere. They have a unique menu with high quality food using all natural, farm raised, and free ranging local products and Snooze’s exclusive organic coffee is picked, roasted and flown directly from Guatemala every week. Its always hard to choose what to order from the menu, you can check out their menu at http://www.snoozeeatery.com but I decided on the Chilaquiles Benedict (Carne asada steak served on a cheesy, saucy, tortilla stack topped with poached Niman Ranch eggs, smoked cheddar cheese hollandaise, fresh salsa and cotija cheese) and the Cinnamon Pancake drizzled with syrup, powdered sugar, and pecans. You have to check this place out if your ever in the Denver area!! It’s not your average breakfast place …
Over the weekend I had some sushi for lunch at Hapa in Cherry Creek. Another unique place that they carry a line of sushi rolls with sexual titles, it’s an interesting menu to say the least. I ordered for starters the shumai (shrimp dumplings) and seasoned edamame with truffle and soy (bomb), plus the XXX Roll (avocado and tempura asparagus roll wrapped with hamachi and jalapenos, seared with olive oil and served with ponzu), and the lobster roll. Sushi lovers you would enjoy this quaint restaurant.
Since I’m covering all the food basis I might as well throw some Italian in the mix and so I did! Di’Franco’s is in downtown Denver in the bottom of the Beauvallon building and is ahhhhhh-mazing! Went with take-out on this one which made my night. Took home the Mushroom Polenta (polenta cake, shitake mushrooms, farm fresh egg, arugala + shaved pecorino cheese), Hand Rolled Squash Ravioli (roasted butternut squash, brown butter sage, grated windsor dairy cheese, + an amaretto crumble), and Hand Rolled Gnocchi (italian sausage ragu, grated pecorino, + fresh oregano). Sooooooooo good! What’s Italian without a cannoli? Boring 😉
Now, that I shared my food loving weekend with you stay tuned because it didn’t end there! I started making some of my Holiday Desserts that I will be sharing with YOU today!
Hope everyone has a healthy, happy, and productive upcoming week! XOXO

This weekend was definitely all about the food! I ended up at my usual weekly stop, Gateaux Bakery because I am a bad girl and like to indulge on her desserts. It’s seriously the BEST BAKERY! She has amazing tarts, cookies, pastries, and specialty cakes. I snapped a few photos for you so you could check out a few of her Halloween Cakes. She has cake and pastry flavors ranging from white chocolate peach torte to apricot grand marnier cake, complete with fondant. Flavors range from a typical carrot cake to you dream it, she can do it. They are RIDICULOUSLY DELICIOUS! I will have to share a picture of my five tier birthday cake she made for me in May, with pink fondant and a Christian Louboutin heel on top! Girlie & Fancy! 🙂
Friday, I had lunch with a girlfriend that had a private invite to a new restaurant opening in Cherry Creek, called “True Food”. It’s a restaurant that has teamed up with health guru Andrew Weil M.D., to create a healthy, gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan menu. They have six locations now and originally based out of California. I must say its very west coast and awesome! The dishes have delicious flavors, healthy nutrients, and are Mediterranean, Asian, and California inspired. For all of my Florida friends they are opening one in Miami in a year. 🙂 I always want to try everything at a new restaurant so I started with a cocktail from their list. I ordered the cucumber martini (skyy vodka, thatcher’s elderflower, cucumber, & pineapple). Whoa…Yum, Yum! We then shared the shiitake & tofu lettuce wraps, the Mediterranean chopped salad (cucumber, tomato, quinoa, feta, marcona almond & lemon oregano vinaigrette), steak tacos (avocado, cotija cheese, tomatillo salsa, sour cream, & anasazi beans), and finished with an apple crisp! It was AMAZING and I will definitely be back!
Later, in the weekend we took some friends from Chicago to Carmines on Penn. It’s an Italian restaurant that carries a southern/northern mix, with big chalk boards that holds the menu on the walls. They serve everything family style in nice big size portions. We shared the Sausage & Peppers, the “Frutti di Mare” (a seafood pasta with clams, mussels, jumbo shrimp, calamari, scallops, and colorado striped bass in a marinara sauce) and the Chef’s special Ravioli (smoked chicken ravioli with pancetta in a cream sauce). You feel like your dining at home with the wonderful food and cozy atmosphere.
Hope everyone has a healthy, happy, and productive upcoming week! XOXO

Hello All! My weekend post is coming a day later then I would of liked but better late then never! My girlfriend Jen was in town from Florida so she and I did a little shopping and dining. There were a few sales over the weekend and I can’t stress enough how happy I feel when I score a deal. It’s like a kid in a candy store! I found a pair of seven jeans marked down from $198 to $106 at Nordstrom so those were a must buy…SCORE! We also strolled through Neimans and there wasn’t much that I didn’t want…can we say shop-a-holic? I don’t think I’m alone here? Lot’s of wants on the want list. The shoes below are all Charlotte Olympia and HOT! I’m going to have to do a few extra tans a day to afford them but, I WANT! It’s tough being a girl. 😉 After, shopping we went over to North, an Italian restaurant in Cherry Creek and shared the bruschetta brushed with truffle oil, roasted asparagus, crescenza cheese, topped with prosciutto parma (my re-creation is under the category yummy eats). I also had a salami salad with arugula, provolone, and roasted red peppers..Amazing! It’s always nice having a friend in town and having a some girl time.
Later, in the weekend I attempted making the mini fall cakes again but I haven’t quite mastered it yet. I purchased the mini cake pan at Michael’s Craft Store. Mix the cake mix, pour in pan, bake according to box instructions. I then place the cream cheese icing in between the cakes to make them stick together to make a mini cake and decorate with icing and sprinkles. The flavors are all there but the presentation and look of them still leaves something to be desired. I will get it..hopefully!
Hope everyone has a healthy, happy, and productive upcoming week! XOXO

A Few Of My Favorite Things …

Hello Weekend Warriors! My weekend was all about beauty! Saturday, I had more layers cut in my hair. Ahhh, finally it has life and body again! If your bored with your style and you don’t want to lose your length, maybe you should consider some long layers. After, my hair I had an exciting day shopping for makeup! Remember when you were a little girl and all you wanted to do was play in your mothers makeup? Well, I’m grown now and all I want to do is play in makeup. Especially, lately I’ve been makeup obsessed! I went to Mac and had my makeup done which in return sold me on buying more product and left me wanting more! HA, girl problems! I bought eye colors that I would of never gravitated towards, but my eyes popped once applied. I guess my point is…if you are unsure what will look good with your skin tones, ask! She opened my eyes (literally) to new colors. I also learned a new way of applying eye liner that really made my eyes stand out and it stayed for hours. I will share in upcoming post more about my colors and hopefully some tutorials. I am currently trying to work with a makeup artist to bring you professional tutorials!
It’s no secret that I also have a sugar obsession, its so dangerous! This is the reason I work out…;)! It’s not my fault that they place Godiva across from Mac :(. What’s a girl suppose to do? So, I snuck over and scored some brownies, macaroons, and chocolate covered oreos! WHOA! You know the rest! Yep, sugar high! Upon arriving home there was another sweet surprise awaiting for me….a Key Lime Tart! Not just any key lime tart but a Gateaux key lime tart. This bakery is seriously the BEST!
Sunday Funday was all about the Broncos. Football games are always fun, you can really feel the energy amongst the crazed fans! Some are quite humorous with their paint and attire. True die hard fans.! Well, thats a wrap for my weekend! Just a few highlights of the excitement!
Hope everyone has a healthy, happy, and productive week! XOXO

Hello Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. I ventured up to Vail, CO to celebrate friends anniversary and for a little R&R! You can see the drive up in the pictures below…the mountains are gorgeous! The weather was crisp and cool, the high’s during the day were in the 60s and 30s at night. Perfect weather for wearing layers, roasting marshmallows, and enjoying the fire places & fire pits throughout the hotel. We stayed at the Four Seasons which if you have stayed at a Four Seasons before you know how pleasurable they are, world wide. The lobby had beautiful blown glass and art work. Check out the horses below they were made out of screen (wire mesh), I thought they were pretty cool!
After, dropping off the luggage we went down to the farmers market where I tried really hard to get these cute goats to pose for the camera but they just weren’t interested. So, decided to check out the surroundings and took a stroll through Vail Village complete with shops, restaurants, galleries, and boutique hotels. I was drawn into this one particular gallery which I snapped a few photos to share with you. I really wanted the Marilyn Monroe Original below, it was an interesting piece made of plexiglass, roses, and a silk screen print of her. I drifted off to fantasy land where I pretended I had a huge walk in closet the size of a bedroom with white marble floors, a gorgeous white leather round ottoman with a giant shag baby pink rug underneath, a chandelier hanging above, and Marilyn Monroe on the wall…How girlie and wonderful? Then I pinched myself and came back to reality! 😉 You can see the half statue of the woman’s body below made of black crystals which was beautiful and feminine but at $59,000 (whoa) she had to stay in the store!
Later, we stepped out for some dinner at Elway’s, where we pigged out on Rotisserie Chicken, Steak, Crab Legs, Salmon, Shrimp, and Salads. What’s dinner without wine? Boring! Ok, maybe not boring but wine just makes everything better! We even shared a bottle of dessert wine similar to a port. It was a nice little vacation but back to work now!
Hope everyone has a healthy, happy, and productive upcoming week! XOXO

Are you ready for some football?!? I cant hear you? 😉 I’m watching the game now and it’s been a pretty low key weekend other than vegging out and spray tanning bodies. Which means… I didn’t eat very healthy this weekend and I have some making up to do at the gym this upcoming week.
Saturday morning I was headed for an egg white omelet when the car suddenly took a left turn into the parking lot of Lamar’s doughnut shop (oopsie). Yep, the car won that battle. I’m a sucker for bavarian creme and cake doughnuts and these happen to be the bomb.com. Yum, Yum! Quiche too? Ok! So, I also indulged in a ham, roasted pepper, and cheese quiche (mmmm mmmm good).
At this point my diet is shot which is no excuse to continue blowing it but I had zero desire now to be a good girl. Mexican it is! Later that evening I went to La Loma for mexican food where I ordered queso, tacos, green chili (world famous) and shrimp with mexican rice & refried beans. Whats mexican food without a margarita? Pointless! They go hand in hand…duh! Why not at this point? I cheated on my diet all weekend and had a love affair with food. #YOLO
Check out the weather report below, it’s officially looking like fall! Chilly willy evenings …Brrr!
Hope everyone has a healthy, happy, and productive upcoming week!

Hope everyone had a nice holiday! My girlfriend came to visit me from Florida and it made my Labor Day! Although, visits always seem short its better than no time spent together at all. I of course had to take her to my favorite sushi restaurant and spent a lot of lost time shopping. Im still waiting to hit the lottery so I can go shopping daily. 😉 We hung out downtown denver and shared some dinner and cocktails. Checked out a lounge, Corridor 44 which is a champagne bar with an extensive list of champagnes. There are other details to share but hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil! (pic below)
How do you end a holiday weekend without a feast? A little BBQ action with Kobe beef burgers, brioche buns, onion rolls, melon wrapped w/ prosciutto, tomato mozzarella, bow tie pasta w/ spinach & pine nuts, kale & edamame salad, cabbage & almond salad, corn on cob, bruschetta, twice baked potatoes, and finished off with some lip smacking cupcakes! I LOVE my food!

A Few Of My Favorite Things …

I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend! Although, its not quite over I figured I would share a few highlights of mine. 🙂
Ocean prime friday night consisted of some light eating and drinking. After, a long week your allowed a couple cocktails on the weekend! We ordered the white truffle caviar deviled eggs (INCREDIBLE) and the “Surf N Turf” sea scallops & slow braised short ribs (INCREDIBLE). Also, the chop chop salad which has hard cooked egg, salami, fresh mozzarella, smoked bacon, and club dressing. It was all appetizer portions and we shared them with a bottle of Santa Margherita (MY FAV).
Saturday, a trip to Tony’s Market for a few items turned into a sugar feeding frenzy. I know shake your head in shock because mine is hung low in shame (hehe). Bad girl to eat all these desserts but they got the job done and cured the sugar craving. Well, temporarily that is! Geez, I hope I don’t turn myself into a diabetic with all the sugar I eat. The bakery is front and center so you can’t just walk by the glass case with desserts starring you in the face, so we ordered m&m chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, a piggy and monkey cupcake, peach cream cheese pastry, and a slice of lemon meringue pie. WOWZERS!
Saturday evening we were all together for a BBQ! I can’t explain to you and the pictures do no justice on just how thick the cut of these steaks were, they were huge! I know some of you are vegetarians and vegans, God bless you. I have to indulge in a nice juicy filet mignon every now and again. The grill was ready and the steaks went on! They have a beautiful backyard complete with an outdoor kitchen and fire pit. It’s perfect for entertaining. Everyone hung around while David made his secret sauce, one of these days I’m going to get that recipe! Five star restaurants should be begging him for his secret sauce! They were cooked to perfection, drizzled with sauce, and delicious mushrooms with a red wine reduction. I’m telling you my mouth is watering as I’m typing because it was all Ahhh-mazing! We all ate and finished with of course, dessert! Afterwards, we all set around the fire pit sipping wine and Tres Generaciones (tequila). If you haven’t had this tequila it’s not expensive at $50 a bottle and its soooooooo smooth! It was a perfect evening with amazing food, good drinks, and great company!
Well this concludes my highlights if anything else exciting happens between now and the end of day, I will share! Thanks for following!
